Night/Dazed: New Work by Jennifer Merchant
June 6 - June 26, 2018

Facèré presents Night/Dazed, a collection of layered acrylic jewelry and small sculpture by artist Jennifer Merchant. Night/Dazed invites viewers to gaze deep into the layered abyss and explore illusions of time and space. These works combine graphic black and white op art prints with images from NASA's Hubble Space Telescope, and layers them between solid acrylic. The layered acrylic is hand sculpted into various geometric forms, creating pieces that are graphic and colorful from one angle and transparent from the other. Wonderfully dimensional, each piece changes as it's viewed from different angles.

Night/Dazed Triangle Drop Earrings (rear view): Earrings in acrylic and inkjet prints. Reverse view of earrings. Night/Dazed: Necklace in acrylic, inkjet prints, 23k gold leaf, and 14k gold. Center dome: 2.5" in diamter, 1.75" thick. 24" total length. Night/Dazed: Domed Drop Earrings (back view): Earrings in acrylic and inkjet prints. Reverse view of earrings.
