Jane Martin is a studio jewelry artist who has been producing work since the late seventies. Her work has been published in The Metalsmith's Book of Boxes & Lockets by Tim McCreight, Contemporary American Jewelry Design by Ettagale Blauer and Ornament, Lapidary Journal, Crafts Report, and American Crafts magazines.
In 1988, Jane was a founding board member of the Seattle Metals Guild and its program director for four years. She has also been involved in founding galleries and organizing symposiums and participated in several large crafts shows such as The Smithsonian Craft Show. In 2002 Jane was awarded a grant by the Bainbridge Island Arts and Humanities Fund to start a jewelry/metalsmithing class on the island through the Parks Department.
